Ofsted Inspection – May 2026

We are delighted that our very first Ofsted inspection recognised Fledglings Thorne as providing a Strong Standard across almost every area inspected, with safeguarding fully meeting all statutory requirements.

Inspectors praised our warm, nurturing environment where children are supported to flourish, describing the nursery as:

"Children thrive in this warm, welcoming and nurturing setting."

The report recognised the excellent progress children make, our inclusive approach to supporting every child, and the strong relationships between staff, children and families. Inspectors also highlighted that:

"Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities... make impressive progress from their starting points."

Ofsted also commended our leadership team, noting our commitment to continuous improvement, professional development and early intervention to ensure every child receives the support they need.
